Board Nominations and Elections

PMA members play an important role in selecting the Association’s leadership.

Each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), PMA holds elections for Executive Board positions, including:

• President
• Vice President
• Second Vice President
• Treasurer

Prior to the AGM, members are invited to submit nominations for Executive roles in accordance with the PMA nomination process. Eligible nominees who accept their nomination are presented to the membership.

If there is only one eligible candidate for a position, that candidate is acclaimed. If more than one candidate is nominated for the same position, an election is held. PMA members who are eligible to vote may cast their vote virtually through a secure online poll that opens during the AGM and remains available for a designated voting period.

Once voting has closed and the results have been verified, election results are communicated to the membership following the AGM. This process helps ensure PMA’s leadership is selected through a fair, transparent, and democratic process.
